Assisting People

The countries like Georgia are keeping good care of their citizens and assisting them and their families by providing the health insurance plans for them. Some of them are discussed below:

i. Conversion Policy: if due to some reason a person loses his group health plan, then with all rights he can go for the purchasing of individual health insurance and that too from the same company which his providing the medical coverage to him and his family members. The only condition must be that the person must be fully covered for a time of 6 months under the same group plan. There are some conversion policies which charge some premium amount for providing these services. But in Georgia, there are no such conditions.

ii. Health insurance after the job: if a person leaves his job, then also the he can have his ‘employer’s group health plan’ which remained for a period of time. This is known as COBRA. This continuation coverage provided by the state helps the employee till he searches out his new health plan.

iii. Different plans of health insurance for families: if a person has not as much earning then he can go for the free health coverage which is provided under the subsidized plan. The medical system in Georgia is so much helpful that the Georgia’s Medicaid program provides the health care programs at free cost for pregnant ladies, families with low income or the people who are disables or who have no income.
